Corruption,Modi_rally&Press_Freedom'14

Dear all,
Welcome.
Corruption/CBI: CBI Director had stated that corruption made jointly in group is a big challenge. Evidences against such corruption and proving it in Court is tough task. The accused try to prove themselves as victim.
Speaking at 7th InterPol conference, he stated that when we talk of corruption, only those who take bribe are being thought of whereas persons giving bribe are equally responsible.
The statement is supposed to be important in the wake of 2G spectrum allocation matter against big Corporates. The illegal money or crime starts from border. It has three sources viz. Corruption&bribery, criminal activities, and commercial tax theft. These flow are difficult to stop due to loopholes in international financial system.
Modi brand: US had termed meeting of its envoy along with Gujarat CM, Modi, to be held this week as part of increased communication. Also, it is stated that US President, Obama, is not included in ending Modi's boycott.
It is to note that Modi had been denied US Visa owing to his involvement in 2002 Godhra riots. US had stressed that there is no change in it's Visa policy. Also, it is not favouring anyone during upcoming general elections.
US foreign ministry's spokesman had not cleared about involvement of US President in the said decision. In such decisions high level persons are not involved but calculations had been done and all had decided to have appropriate meeting. It would be the first ever meet with US envoy after the riots. During past few years, EU countries representatives had met Modi.
Modi rally: Speaking at dinner meeting with MPs, Gujarat CM, Modi, had given them winning strategy. He told that it is possible only through direct communication. He told them to visit door to door from village's chaupal to tea vendor shops. He also stated to use social media.
He told to tell voters about the country's problems & challenges faced. He also asked suggestions from them. Some had told to bring youths while others opted for minorities. It was also brought to notice that minorities feelings should be considered. Their sentiments should not be hurt. Such suggestions amounted to approx two dozens. Modi asked for suggestions in future too so that it could be included in the strategy.

World Press Freedom Index-2014: In a recently issued annual report by "Reporters without Borders", Finland stood at first position followed by Netherlands and Norway. The list includes around 180 countries. The report states that during 2013, eight reporters were killed in India. J&K and Chattisgarh States have censorship but violence against reporters happens throughout the country.
India stood at 140th position while Pakistan and China held 158th & 175th position respectively.
The report states that violence against them is done by Police, Security forces, Criminal groups, protesters and various political parties. They get relief from judiciary. Pakistan is one of dangerous places in regard to reporters. Besides Armed Forces, intelligence agencies like ISI, too, pose threat to them. The govt. seems helpless amidst Taliban, terrorism, Security Fores and military system.
The report also stated that during past year, Syria was more lethal with around 130 media personnel getting killed ever since March 2011 when violence erupted.
With regards,
